Film Industries - 16

Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc is an American producer of film, television, and music entertainment.

I think this industry would be the ideal distributor to publish our film because; WB is one of the best production companies out there for a lot of different types of entertainment. WB have distributed a lot of films including the Batman trilogy, Inception and lots of other great movies.
But the production companies I want producing my films are Syncopy and Legendary pictures.

The reason i want Syncopy producing my films are because this company has produced lots of movies with the type of style i want. this company is co-owned by Christopher Nolan who i think of as one of the greatest people in the film industries. Having this company produce our film would be ideal.

I also want legendary pictures to co-produce my film because they co-produce with Warner Bros and they have co-produced lots and lots of good movies including Batman trilogy, The town, Man of steel and lots of other great movies.

Pearl & Dean - 15

From all of my research in Pearl & Dean present that; to categorize a type of audience; you need to know everythign abotu yoru audience, from Age to Gender. I would say our film would fit in 15+ category because our movie focuses on a younger independent character, which most teens could relatye to. Even though the character isnt a teen ( around 20's); the 15+ audience memebers would enjoy it more than the family and art houses audiences. i would say our film could categorize from 15 up to 30 years of age because it doesnt only focus on a teen but just a young man; which adults can also relate to. Pearl & Dean's business section is very helpful to identify a certain type of audience class.

UK Tribes - 14

UK Tribes describe the best type of audience as Townies. Apparently UK Tribes describes Townies as " mainstream kids"; this is the largest tribe according to UK tribes. I think this stereotype is perfect for our movie because they are also described as Viva The ordinaries; which shows that this stereotype is just casual people.

I think the person on this picture displays a casual person around the world. So i picture townies as just anyone around town. So i think this movie is basically suitable for most people.

Audience Research - 13

I think one of the main factors that affect the type of movies people want to watch is the advertisements in you tube, t.v or even the trailers in the cinemas. If these adverts are attractive people will consider watching it. But even though people watch these movies; how do they identify if it is good or not. For example the opening of a movie is quite long; how do you keep an audience attracted to it. A good opening sequence would attract the audience's attention, and make them think about it. for example the opening to Dark Knight Rises is quite interesting because it is quite abstract and dark. Types of movie opening im not attracted to are, where all you can see the credits and nothing is happening during it; for example the "Stars Wars" introduction is quite dull to be honest. It is repetitive and nothing interesting happens; all there is, is writing fading away. The music is also a very important feature in the opening credits for example some of my favorite ones are Rocky and Superman soundtracks because these give it a very memorable feature to the movie.

Herbst Breakdown - 11

1. The first screenshot is an over the shoulder shot over a doll and an extreme long shot focusing on a couple holding each other. this could be a part of the plot.

2. The second screenshot is a low angle long shot shot focusing on a woman waving towards a train.

3. the third screenshot is an extreme long shot focsusing on a woman (could be the same one from screenshot 2) looking outside a window.

4. This screen shot is a long shot focusing on a soilder.

5. This introduces title of the movie Herbst.

6. Another long shot focusing on a soilder with binoculars. The weather changes which shows time has passed by.

7. A high angeled long shot focused on the same soilder.

8. The next screenshot  is a long shot focusing on a family walking on grass.

9.This last screenshot looks at funeral through an extreme long shot.

Herbst

I havent watched this movie, but from analysing the screenshot I think there is a couple during a war ( probably WWI) and then the man has to go to war show the woman says goodbye in a train station. The third screenshot shows a woman looking outside a window waiting. Then the following 4 screenshots show the man in war. the next screenshot just shows a family; and the last screenshot displays a funeral which is probably the man who was probably in the war, who was KIA.

SE7EN INTRO ANALYSIS - 10

The opening works as a introduction for the film in that it  introduces  the  character  of the  killer  John  Doe  and gives clues at the story. In  2minutes, the Director set the tone and atmosphere of  Se7en  as  the  disturbing  and  dreadful  experience that it is. Se7en is a psychological thriller with horror and neo-noir elements that eventually makes the film unique and unforgettable. The opening sequence is a collection of around 60-70 extreme close-ups that works like a montage. This serves to intrigue the audience with tiny detail and, to distance the audience by not showing any wider shots that would give a better view of characters.
The used is a remix of Nine InchNails Closer . Nine Inch Nails is an American industrial rock project which is associated with dark and gruesome imagery. The name of the band gives it a very gothic brutal image in your mind, which also gives hints towards the genre. The music is gritty and reflects the overall disturbing tone of the film.
